Escape to our new Sugar Shack!

A short walk from the parking spot and nestled in the woods, this recently renovated timber frame Sugar Shack is a one-of-a-kind glamping getaway for those looking to relax in total privacy and rustic simplicity. Wake up to the sounds of bird songs and enjoy your coffee and meals on the screened-in porch looking into the peaceful forest. A futon couch in the living space can be pulled out into a second bed. The cabin is completely off-grid...no electricity, WiFi, or cell phone service!

The Space:

• Ideal for 2 people, can fit 4 people (1 queen bed, 1 full-size futon)
• A few steps to a composting toilet with a view of the pond (there's also a rustic indoor WC)
• Cold spring water gravity flows to the kitchen and bathroom sinks; we also provide a 5-gallon water jug for drinking
• Small propane-powered refrigerator and dishes, pots, and pans for cooking on the 2-burner indoor camping stove or outdoor grill
• Rechargeable lanterns are provided; bring your own headlamps/flashlights
• A woodfire burning stove keeps the cabin warm and cozy on cooler nights
• The outdoor shower has propane-heated water
• Enjoy swimming in your own private pond!
• No light pollution--you can enjoy stargazing while you lounge by the outdoor fire pit

Other things to note:

• If you need to work while here, the town library is in Colrain center 4 miles away with good WiFi in parking lot
• Cleaning fee of $60 per stay
• We invite you to explore the many miles of well maintained trails
